Photobucket

Well... at least YOU can! So don't miss this awsome opportunity for a lifetime of inspiring monthly kits!

I'll just have to find comfort in that I just finished a new kit that I really love! I can give you a little sneak peek here.

It is lots of fun and whimsy - and will release on September 1st - if CatScrap gets the server on the feet again *lol* There was so much traffic for the Birthday Bash that the bandwith use exploded! They've had to buy more several times already and today the site went down. Maybe I'll have to say thank goodness that the birthday celebration is over for now :) There's only a few more winners to choose from all the fab entries to the blog challenges.

Oh! And I have to update you on our butterfly! The caterpillar broke out of the cocoon! It turned into a beautiful dark brown butterfly that we released :) Unfortunately I wasn't able to get a good shot of it, but it looked a lot like one of these:

In Norway we call it a "Nettle Butterfly" (neslesommerfugl) :) Latin: Aglais Urticae English: Small Tortoiseshell :)

A New Discovery and a Party!

Well, first of all I have to tell you that our little caterpillar is still sleeping in the cocoon, and I'm starting to wonder whether it will ever come out :)
I'll hang in there though! I'm not giving up on him just yet!

Then I need to tell you that I discovered a new blog today that went straight to my favs, I LOVE the inspiration! It is Xtina's blog. She's a Norwegian paper scrapper - and pretty good at it too!! Take a look!
This month she is even giving away a Blog Candy! - I'd LOVE to get my hands on this to finally get over my paper barrier *lol* I have thought of trying out some paper scrapping for a LONG time, but I always decide that digi is best ;) Man, I love to resize, recolor, cut and paste and ctrl+z *lol* I really should try it out though!

Doesn't this look yummy?

Did you check out the Birthday Bash Challenges and the Sale over at CatScrap?
Only a short time left now, so don't miss out! CatScrap sales are not happening often! Especially not up to 40% off! :D

Here's the list of sales and challenges, you can still participate!
Today, the Stitch-O-Holic challenge is up :) And all stitches are 40% off! Wohoo!

Glimpse from the life...

of a caterpillar! LOL!

Yesterday, when I cut open a cauliflower, this cute little guy came crawling out :)

The kids were so excited! They had never seen one of these before in RL :)
(We've been living in the desert for three years).
I suggested that they take it out and put it on some leaves, but they
wanted to "keep it". *rolleyes* Sooo we found an empty glass of jam
punched some holes in the lid, filled it with cauliflower leaves,
and there was a caterpillar house for ya!
It ate and ate all the day, and this morning we saw that it has spun a cocoon!

We are all waiting for it to come out, and see which kind of butterfly
it will become :)

Will keep you updated!

Oh - and another thing!
Be sure you don't miss the Mystery Designer Contest at DAM Blog! If you have been to my blog now, there's a good chance you'll know who the Mystery Designer is ;)

There's also a new issue of Digital Artist Magazine hot off the press today!

And - I've finally found some time to scrap!! It hasn't been much of that lately! I have been overly busy wrapping up a new collab with Milla Designs :D It will hit the CatScrap store on the 15th for the HUGE Birthday Bash for the 2nd anniversary! You don't want to miss that either. Did I mention major discounts? LOL!

Fairytales...

As some of you may have noticed I had a layout in Digital Artist Magazine featuring an upcoming collab between myself and the fabulous Milla Designs, also at Catscrap. We both started out on ideas of a magical fairy kit at the same time, and decided to combine our visions. We've been delayed - but I can promise you it's worth the wait :) and on the positive side: I've had time to add even more goodies tho the kit than I actually intended!

Well, for now we can enjoy another fairytale: Guinevere's Tale

My latest kit. This was really only supposed to be a paperpack of home made textured papers, but it got a life of it's own and developed into a whole kit :) Luckily we might say! I have been SO impressed by the pages my fantabulous CT-girls and the site CT at Catscrap have made! I really want to show them off :D Now these are the REAL fairytales!

Enjoy Freedom by Nicky

The Kiss by march guest Claudi

You don't See Me by Catscrap CTM: Buge

I'll try to be back with more layouts and more info on the collab as soon as possible! :)

Lace Cardstock

Did you see the first pack of Lace Cardstock? It was the first time I made something on a request, and it was so much fun! Well, now I've just wrapped up the second pack - inspired by a paper layout Dagmar showed us. She actually did all the cutting herself with a scissor! Thank God I'm digi, not paper LOL!

Here's the preview for you:

They turn out a bit tiny here on the blog don't they? Maybe you get a better view on this layout where I used one of them:

Don't you just love how it looks like a lace window? :) This layout turned out to be quite special for me. The photo is taken from my grandparents' house. They've got these beautiful sunsets there. My grandmother died a few years ago, and seeing her house makes me remember her - that's what the journaling is about. And then I have used buttons from her old button collection to embellish the layout. So there's a lot of memories and emotion in this on my part. She was an artist, a painter, and I am sure these dreamy colors and lights in the sky inspired her.

You can click on the image for full credits.

What I really like about these Lace Cardstocks is that they are so versatile and have so many possibilities. I was originally thinking of placing my photo on top of this one here, but realized that it worked really well under too! You can blend them or recolor or cover in other papers, make them tiny or use as frames. I'm sure there are more options I haven't even thought of :)

Wow!

There have been SO many awsome pages made with my kits the last week, and I really want to show you some by all these fab scrappers!!

Seriously, that's one of the bes things about designing - to see all the beautiful creative work that's being done with my simple elements and backgrounds!

Now I just picked the last few I put in my favs. I love every single layout I've seen so far!

With Fish in the Sea

By Amy Pearson:

Isn't this creative? I simply LOVE how she used the photo and look at all that layering around the edges with those cute little fish peaking through everywhere! :)

By Viwi:

I love how she used the sequins from the other kit as bubbles, and just look at how easily she acheived a stunning layout with the layered stack included in the kit!

With My Lady

By newlife:

Now, that is so dreamy and I love the old photo and the vintage feel! And just look at that creative titlework! She did a wonderful job using the bordered paper cut!

By Holly Griego:

WOW! Holly's fabulous layering and shadows blow me away!! Awsome titlework and photo too! :)You both liked the green background I see ;)

And look! This girl made a hybrid project with the fish kit! That is so cool!!

Thanks for using my kits girls!!

All images are clickable, so I hope you'll leave them some love :)

Whohooo! I'm at Catscrap!

So, now everybody knows what my secret was :) I was going to sell my designs at the one and only CATSCRAP store!!

MAN, that was hard to keep to myself for almost TWO MONTHS!! But now I'm twice as happy about it HA! :)

You should stop by and snag something while you can, cause everything in the store is on sale 25% off until the 6th!! Great opportunity! Catscrap doesn't do sales too often! And there's a freebie from me up too!

Here's a layout I did with my new kit My Lady:

A Princess in her Castle:

Oh, and wait a minute! Take a look at this super cool blinkie Carolyn made for me:
